Job description

English Tutor – NG10 (Nottingham)

We are looking for a compassionate and committed English Tutor to support students in the NG10 (Nottingham) area. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored English support, particularly for learners with additional needs, helping them build confidence and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 or small group English tuition tailored to individual needs, including SEN

Plan and adapt engaging lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities

Support students with a range of additional needs and behaviours

Build positive relationships to encourage confidence and engagement

Monitor progress and provide regular feedback

Requirements:
Strong knowledge of English (KS1–KS4 or above)

Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEN

Tutoring or teaching experience preferred

Strong behaviour management skills

Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

Right to work in the UK

Details:
Part-time / flexible hours (Monday–Friday)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
