Job description

We are currently recruiting for English Tutors in Trafford and the surrounding areas to support a growing number of young people who need academic assistance. As a tutor with us, you’ll bring enthusiasm, energy, and commitment to every session. We’re looking for individuals who embody professionalism, respect, and a strong dedication to safeguarding the well-being of our students.

Pay: £25 - £30 per hour

Additional Information:
A full UK driving license is desirable as some students may require home or library-based tutoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality 1:1 or small group tuition in English.

  • Inspire and motivate students to overcome challenges and reach their academic goals.

  • Deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum and tailored to individual student needs.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to safeguarding standards at all times.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, including a solid grasp of the English language.

  • A passion for teaching and a desire to motivate and empower students.

  • Enhanced DBS check for Child Workforce (on the update service) or the willingness to obtain one through TP Tutors (support provided).

  • Experience working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH, and other additional needs.

  • Previous UK teaching experience is desirable.

  • Experience in classroom or 1:1 teaching settings, as well as up-to-date safeguarding training, is preferred.

  • A good understanding of the English curriculum and knowledge of various exam boards.

  • Professional references from your two most recent employers, covering the last 24 months of a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
