English Tutor – Re-engagement & GCSE Support

Location: South Tyneside | Rate: Up to £35/hr | Part-time

We're looking for an experienced English tutor to support secondary learners struggling to access mainstream education due to SEMH, SEN or care needs.

You'll deliver 1:1 sessions focused on catch-up learning or GCSE English Language and Literature content.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Recognised teaching qualification, preferably PGCE (with QTS)

• Enhanced DBS certificate (child workforce) or a willingness to obtain one

• Strong SEN/SEMH tutoring experience

• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
