A Secondary Academy in Nottingham is looking for a English Tutor to work on a part time basis.
We welcome applications for this post from the following candidates:
- English Teachers with QTS.
- English Graduates with prior experience in tutoring.
- Individuals who have a background within the realm of tuition.
With Covid-19 forcing schools closures, the school requires an online tutor to work with students (both KS3 and KS4)
The students who are in need of this tuition have fallen behind the expected rate of progression. It is the aim of the school to introduce a tutor to these students in order for them to achieve the long term goal of a passing grade within the next run of exams.
The required applicant will be able to confidently tutor within in an online capacity. It is essential that the individual can use various techniques to create a positive learning experience for all students concerned.
The school is keen for the tutor to be able to give constructive feedback on work completed, as well as share ideas in order to directly benefit student attainment levels. The school is looking for an approachable individual to undertake this role – the ability to positively reinforce learning is essential.
There will be the opportunity to work with students with SEN, and it is therefore important that the required tutor can use differentiation as a tool to ensure that individual requirements are met based on specific needs.
The school is located in Nottingham– please note that despite being a remote role in the interim, we can only accept applications from candidates within Nottingham and the surrounding areas. The tuition will commence in person upon the reopening of schools.
Please apply now for consideration with your up-to-date CV and supporting statement.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training.
