A good school in the Middlesbrough area is seeking to appoint an English teacher with a proven track record of pupil progress to join their devoted team of English staff from January 2020. Offering a generous provision of timetabled lessons, this is an opportunity to truly go above and beyond to fully extend the academic potential of your pupils.

Teacher Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of delivering English Literature and/or English Language to KS4
  • KS5 experience would be highly beneficial but not necessary
  • The ability to differentiate lesson material and tailor learning to particular pupil needs
  • A proven track record of improving attainment
  • Suitable school-based references
  • Have and up to date DBS with the Update Service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
  • A willingness to undertake CPD and contribute to the wider school life
