English Teacher - Atherton

Full time English Teacher required at a secondary school located in Atherton, Manchester.

The school require a member an English Teacher for an immediate start in February with the position continuing until July 2019.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS - £23,720 - £39,406
  • Full time post from the end of February and running until July 2019

  • Good location, accessible via the A577 and on public transport.

Starting at the end of February half term, this is a full time temporary post working in a well resourced English department in Atherton. The post will initially run until the end of July, with an opportunity to progress on to a school based contract for the suitable candidate. The successful English teacher will be joining a friendly team, within a large comprehensive school on the outskirts of Manchester bordering Wigan, Bolton and Salford. The school is home to pupils with a range of nationalities and languages, creating a diverse learning community where extra support is often needed to help pupils reach their full potential.

The secondary school in Atherton is located near the A577 and has good public transport links for English Teachers who are non-drivers, including the local Vantage 2 bus service and Atherton train station.

  • QTS and a specialism for secondary English teaching
  • Experience teaching across the ability range (KS3/GCSE)
