"The behaviour of the pupils is good. They are polite, courteous and respectful to teachers"- (Ofsted, 2017)

Due to an upcoming gap within the English department, the Headteacher of our partner secondary school located on the border of Wigan and Leigh wish to appoint an enthusiastic English teacher who has a proven track record of achieving high results. This is a full time post required to start from September 2019 and is initially a temporary contract on a 12 month basis.

English is a very popular subject at the school with the pupils achieving expected progress year on year. A love and passion for the subject is instilled by enthusiastic teachers who strive to provide the pupils with the best possible learning opportunities. The successful applicant will be joining a friendly and vibrant department led by an experienced and popular head of department who is forward thinking.

Our partner secondary school caters for over 900 pupils and is highly regarded within the local area. During the schools most recent Ofsted inspection in 2017, leadership of Mathematics was identified as a particular strength of the school as well as strong leadership and exemplary pupil behaviour.

This is a well facilitated and newly built secondary academy in the heart of Wigan, situated in Orrell with excellent public transport links. Located in Orrell, the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; Bolton, Leigh, Salford, Golborne and Standish.

The Head teacher and Head of English are looking to meet with interested candidates at the earliest convenience. For immediate consideration, please send your full CV to Nicola via the link below. Alternatively, please contact the Manchester West Secondary branch for further information.
