Job description

Full-time English Teacher required from September 2020.

Due to an upcoming gap, our client secondary school are seeking to appoint a teacher of English that can join them on their return to school in the new academic year.

Teachers of all experience levels are to be considered however the incoming teacher must have a good knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and recent experience teaching this in a secondary school setting.

  • Full-time English teacher.
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS scale point.
  • Starting in September with employment for the full academic year.
  • Teaching GCSE to students aged 11-16.

The school require a passionate English teacher who is able to join the school on a full-time basis in September. You must have experience teaching English at GCSE level and be able to use effective and varied teaching methods in order to push your students to achieve excellent results and hit their target grade.

You will be responsible of a full-time English teaching timetable which will include classes of mixed abilities and GCSE classes. The role will include full planning and marking responsibilities and you may be required to take extra curricular classes in preparation for key GCSE exams in the summer.

Our client school currently has around 900 students on roll which is smaller than the average secondary school in the area. You can find the school on the Outskirts of Bolton and easily access it with a short drive from the M61. The school is in an ideal location if you are a user of public transport and can be easily accessed from surrounding areas Bury, Salford Wigan and Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
