Join a vibrant secondary academy in Manchester seeking to appoint a teacher of English on a full-time basis for one academic year commencing September 2021.

The successful teacher will be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4. They will have excellent behaviour management and the ability to form strong professional relationships with students, particularly those who have become disengaged in education. We are looking for a committed English teacher who will ensure the highest levels of teaching and learning and an enthusiasm for raising student attainment.

Responsibilities of this post:

  • To plan, prepare and deliver well-structured and engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • To manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Maintain up to date subject knowledge of the National Curriculum and AQA GCSE Syllabus.
  • To motivate, support and challenge students to ensure that they have good attitudes to learning.

Applicants to this position must have recent experience teaching KS3 and KS4 English.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
