English teacher in Manchester Full Time

A South Manchester based secondary school is looking to appoint a Full Time Science teacher from November 2018 to July due to maternity cover. This can provide an opportunity for an experienced English teacher or even a NQT in English to progress and learn from a well established science department. As this is a full time post, being organised and planning lesson are essential, but you will be provided ongoing support from the experienced English Department.

An opportunity to grow within the English department to become a permanent member of staff can become available after the initial contract period as there is also a chance to teach English for KS5. The School is located in the SK9 postcode of Manchester with close travel links with Trains as well as being just off the main road for those who drive.

This Mixed 11-18 school has a range of students with Pupil premium EAL and SEN. The Ofsted have graded the school a 2 GOOD bordering an OUTSTANDING school. The school has had a growing reputation for high performing school with an above average Progress 8 score

As this is an English position it is essential to have English experience within a UK school with a QTS. Suitable teaching references are also needed as well as having or being eligible for fully enhanced DBS.
