An English teacher vacancy has become available for a Warrington based secondary school due to a maternal absence. The English teacher position is to commence on 7th January 2019 and will continue for a full calendar year. The full time English teacher vacancy will be open for NQT's and Experienced English teachers looking to progress at the Warrington based secondary school.
Highlights of the English Position:
**Full-time English teaching position from January to end of Calendar Year in December
**Teaching KS3 & KS4 students with the option to assist KS5 students
**Paid to Qualified Teacher scale ranging between £23,720-£39,406
**Collaborating with a supportive English department to learn and develop from
**CPD opportunities and responsible as a form tutor to KS3 students
**Experience teaching both English Language & Literature where NQT's are encouraged to apply
The secondary school is located in Warrington and has students aged 11-18 from a mixture of backgrounds. The school ensures that all their staff are supportive towards their students and are motivated to achieving higher academic results. As you will be there for a full calendar year you will be looking to create a fun learning environment where challenging students are engaged in their studies.
The secondary school has shown that their English Department are willing to support newly qualified teachers as they will provide you the support you need when settling in. You will collaborate with the large English Department and work from the schemes of work set for English Language and Literature. The English department also teaches the sixth form students and there will be opportunities for you to develop and enhance your English subject knowledge and teaching skills by assisting in the KS5 classes.
As an English teacher you will need to be confident in teaching Key stage 3 & 4 as your timetable will consist of English language and Literature to GCSE's students throughout your calendar year. The Warrington based secondary school would want you to be an aspiring English teacher to motivate students and help them engage in the studies. You will also be required to mentor a Year 8 form that will progress onto Year 9 and ensure they are provided support to a high standard. As a full time English teacher you will need to attend parents evening for your students as well as being part of the department meetings where you will be supported with CPD opportunities.
