English Teacher

Due to a gap within the English faculty a Secondary school based in Stockton-on-Tees are now looking to expand within the department. The role is initially temporary with the view to progress on to a long term fixed position.

The school is situated within reach of public transport links and is performing well. The school has been graded “good” from the most recent ofsted visitation.

• Temporary full time English Teacher Position to begin from January 2021 with the potential to progress on to a fixed long term position
• Must hold QTS - Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply
• Opportunity to Progress through the support of department staff and senior leadership
• Pay in line with MPS/UPS
• Must have experience teaching English Literature and English Language up to KS4

The duties for the incoming English teacher will include but not be limited to:

• Plan, prepare and deliver dynamic English lessons across Key Stage 3-4.
• Maintain positive behaviour in the classroom using behaviour management strategies to ensure pupils are engaged, in accordance to policies in place at school
• Monitor, assess and evaluate pupil achievement taking appropriate action
• Want to be a part of a dedicated and passionate English department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
