Job description

Teacher of English – ASAP Start

Contract: Full-time until July 2025 with potential extension

Location: Central Southampton

Key Stages: KS3 & KS4

Salary: MPR/UPR

Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working closely with a well-established secondary school located in central Southampton, seeking a teacher of English to join them asap. This is a temporary position to cover the remainder of the summer term, with the potential to continue into September for the right candidate.

The school has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in consecutive inspections, most recently in 2022. Inspectors praised the school for its exceptional academic achievement, exemplary student behaviour, and the wide range of enrichment opportunities available. The report also highlighted the high level of teaching expertise and the school’s strong focus on preparing students for their next steps in education and life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
