English Teacher – Secondary School – Shaftesbury

Full-Time | Permanent | Start Date: April

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver inspiring, well‑planned English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Support excellent progress through creative teaching and a broad, engaging curriculum

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified English Teacher with QTS, or an ECT completing training
  • Confident in teaching English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4
  • An English Teacher who is Passionate about raising achievement and delivering engaging lessons
  • Reflective, dedicated, and committed to professional development
  • Able to build strong relationships and motivate learners of all abilities

Requirements

  • QTS (or working towards QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in English
  • Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
