Our client school, an Ofsted graded Good secondary school are currently seeking a teacher of English to join their department on a full time basis. This position is starting in January and is initially until the end of the academic year.

This is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive secondary school located of the M62 in the town Royton, Oldham and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas central Manchester, Rochdale and Tameside.

  • Full time English teacher post, September start
  • Modern building with excellent provisions for all staff and students
  • Get paid to scale MPS/UPS (£22,917-£38,633 per annum)
  • Join a supportive English department with an experienced Head of English

"Due to a maternity cover we are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic teacher of English to join our faculty on a full time basis. We are a well established English department who consistently achieve outstanding grades therefore we are seeking someone that has the ability to devise, plan and deliver highly differentiated and challenging lessons to with-hold the standards set by the department. As a department we welcome both newly qualified and experienced English teachers to apply for the position." Head of English

This is a large secondary school with 1220 students currently on roll, which is oversubscribed in both Year 7 and Year 8. The school is located in a diverse catchment area and serves the local community with almost all of the pupils coming from minority ethnic background and speak English as an additional language. In 2016 78% of students received the minimum expected levels of progress in English between KS2 and KS4, this vast improvement has led to the school coming in the top 10% of schools nationally for student's improvement and have increased their p8 score to 0.51.
