Salary: MPS (M1 to M9)

Job Overview:
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and motivated English teacher to join a successful and thriving community secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding English faculty committed to excellence in teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player eager to contribute to and learn from best practices within the department. Strong interpersonal skills and a relentless focus on raising student achievement are essential. Applications are welcome from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced professionals.
About the Role:
- Deliver high-quality teaching of English across Key Stages 3 and 4, including both Language and Literature GCSE courses.
- Opportunity to teach Media GCSE as an option, and support students who choose to continue with A-Level English Literature, Language and Literature, or Media Studies.
- Work within a friendly, supportive faculty with excellent facilities and enthusiastic, hardworking students.
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Excellent classroom practice and teaching skills
- A genuine passion for making a difference to students’ learning and outcomes
- Eligible to live and work in the UK
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check
