Job description

ENGLISH TEACHER NEEDED FOR SEPTEMBER

A mainstream secondary school in the High Wycombe area are looking for a new English teacher to join their department from September 2025. This is a full-time, Permanent, role.

The school are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual who will teach English language and Literature up to a GCSE and A-Level. Candidates will be taking on full departmental responsibilities, including, planning and delivering lessons as well as marking.

Teaching Personnel have an outstanding reputation for training and developing colleagues. Therefore, applications are welcome from NQTs as well as experienced teachers. 

Requirements for the role:

  • Hold QTS/ECT status in the UK or hold equivalent qualifications.
  • Have experience teaching English Language and Literature up to GCSE and A-Level
  • Have excellent classroom management
  • Be required to undertake teacher responsibility including planning, preparing lessons and marking
  • The ability to provide two references from your most recent employers
  • Be prepared to apply ‘Child Only’ DBS certificate which is registered with the Update Service
  • Residing in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
