Due to an upcoming maternity leave, our client secondary school in Tameside are looking for a skilled English teacher on an extended basis from September 2019.

- September 2019 start date, two term maternity cover initially

- Full time position available for teachers of English

- Join an Ofsted 'Good' secondary school with excellent facilities

- Supportive environment for incoming staff

- Earn in line with teaching scale point for duration of maternity cover

Our client secondary is a modern, well-facilitated secondary school situated in Tameside, a short journey from Manchester with good accessibility due to the locality of the nearest tram stop. With over 1000 students currently on roll, the school is heavily oversubscribed and firmly one of the schools of choice in the area. The school was judged to be 'Good' by Ofsted in their most recent inspection, and achieve in line with the national average for attainment and progress in English.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with our client school to help recruit an English teacher for a maternity cover, and the school would be happy to accommodate all levels of experience, including those who are newly qualified. The incoming English teacher will be expected to deliver schemes of work to both KS3 and GCSE, along with preparing students for end of year examinations and promoting a positive attitude towards school. Behaviour is good both during lessons and around school, with a thorough behaviour policy and framework in place to ensure students' behaviour and attitude towards work is consistent.
