English Teacher - Christchurch Area

The Role: As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons, playing a crucial role in both the academic and personal development of your students. English, being a core subject, provides you with the opportunity to inspire and nurture creativity and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities.

Encourage a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective learning strategies.

Plan, prepare, and assess work to support students in achieving their full potential.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

Strong subject knowledge with experience teaching English within a UK secondary school.

Effective classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Start Date & Working Hours: The school is looking to appoint the right candidate as soon as possible but is also open to a September start for the right person. The school hours are from 8:15 am to 3:00 pm, and the role will involve full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking.
