English specialist Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Sandbach who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support within their English department. This is a great opportunity for an English graduate who is considering a career in teaching but wanting to gain further experience within a mainstream school.

About the role:

• Start-date: 8^th September
• Full-time opportunity
• Ongoing/long-term

As a Teaching Assistant within the school’s English department, you will work closely with students who require additional support. You will create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students are able to access their full potential. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to create and implement individualised learning support plans for students, assessing progress when necessary.

What we’re looking for:

• A strong background in English language/literature
• Experience working with young students in any setting
• A genuine passion for improving the learning of young students and spreading a love for the subject
• Safeguarding training to be done upon registering with Teaching Personnel
