Seeking recent English Language graduates:
Are you a recent English Language graduate who wants the chance to work in a primary school to gain essential experience for your future career?
We have received an increasing number of vacancies for TAs to work with pupils in mainstream primary schools based in the south leicestershire, Oadby and Wigston areas.
Some aspects of your recent degree are useful for this role, like phonology and grammar, which ask for particular attention to detail, accuracy and logical argument. Other topics, such as child language development and language variation, demand an ability to collect, analyse and evaluate your own data.
This particular role encompasses all aspects above, into the role of a general Teaching Assistant who also runs Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) interventions for pupils in a mainstream primary.
The type of schools you will be working in wish students to make good progress and have the desire to learn. As a Teaching Assistant you will be assisting students to reach their full potential.
The Ideal candidate:
- Will have some experience of working with children
- Be able to apply the theoretical knowledge gained around child language development during studies in to practise
- Good communication and literacy skills
- Able to assist students of different abilities.
