Our client secondary school in the heart of Trafford requires an English teacher to join their team in January. The Head of English/Assistant Head teacher at this small Trafford based school has advised that the English teacher is required as a result of a pending resignation from a member of their English department. The English teacher due to leave has a focus on KS3 intervention whilst teaching some full classes English Language and Literature.
Any English teachers who have led on intervention previously are encouraged to apply as a result of the requirement at this school. The Assistant Head teacher has advised that there is also opportunity for the successful English teacher to take on additional responsibility within the department, being involved in developing schemes of work and whole school collaboration on Literacy support.
Key aspects of this English Intervention teaching position:
- Full time English Intervention teacher required
- Option to teach full classes given the possibility of a move in timetable
- Start this teaching role in January 2020
- Opportunity to progress onto a school based contract following a term through Teaching Personnel
Given that this is an open vacancy, there is the possibility of securing a long term, permanent teaching position within this school for the right candidate. Whilst there is an element of additional responsibility to this position, the school are open to applications from all teachers as there is scope to re-timetable and move things around within this highly supportive English department.
- Pay will be dependent upon experience and payscale; in line with MPS1 – UPS3: GBP24373 - GBP40490
