The Head Teacher of a Roman Catholic primary school in Blackburn are looking to close the gap in learning achieved due to the recent school closures by providing their Year 1 and 2 pupils with interventions focused around the Read Write Inc Phonics programme. They are looking for a member of staff to plan and deliver these sessions, who must have either HLTA status or a Level 4 education-based qualification or above. The role will be full-time (09:15 – 15:15), Monday to Friday, and is due to start 4^th January 2021.

The school is an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school located close by to Blackburn city centre. It is an average-sized primary school, with an above-average proportion of children eligible for the Pupil Premium. There are also a well-above national average numbers of pupils from ethnic minority groups attending the school. More than half the pupils speak English as an additional language.
