Teaching Personnel are working alongside a number of schools in Oldham who are seeking English Graduates to join the school at the soonest convenience to support the English department as either a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor.

The role of English Graduate Teaching Assistant will involve working closely within the English department, providing support for teachers and assisting pupils with any needs they may have, whether this is in a classroom setting or providing additional support on a 1:1 basis. Duties and responsibilities as an English Graduate Teaching Assistant include:

• Assisting the subject teacher in the efficient running of lessons, helping deliver inspiring and engaging lessons for all pupils involved
• Working within the classroom, delivering individual support to identified pupils
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 and group basis, helping them with any difficulties they encounter and encouraging them to grow as pupils and people
• Encouraging and promoting good behaviour within and outside of the classroom, and dealing with any disruption effectively
• You will have the opportunity to lead classes and certain areas with support from the class teacher
