We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Fabrication and Welding to join an Engineering department in a post 16 college in the North Yorkshire Area. The ideal candidate will join the engineering team and teach Fabrication and Welding skills to learners. Working closely with their apprenticeship delivery team, you will develop and deliver training on MIG, TIG and MMA welding processes as well as Sheet metal and Plate work metal skills. As a Learning Practitioner, you will also work learners of all ages who are developing engineering skills, up to level 3 across a range of full-time and part-time courses. This is an exciting time for the department as they plan to move to a new state of the art campus with purpose built engineering workshops.
Candidates must have recent practical experience in the appropriate industry / profession as well as at least a level 2 in Maths and English and a level 3 qualification in their vocational area. Successful candidates must have a willingness to undertake a level 5 qualification in their subject area within 2 years and must hold an assessor qualification to be considered for a permanent role.
