We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team at a specialist SEMH school in Bovington. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the educational journey of pupils who require tailored support to thrive both academically and personally.

About the Role:

  • Location: Bovington, Dorset

  • Hours: Full-time, term-time only (Monday to Friday)

  • Start Date: September 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Assist with learning activities, adapting to individual needs

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff

  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or other challenging behaviours

  • A calm, patient, and compassionate approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A willingness to learn and develop through ongoing training

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
