Educational Support Workers required for a residential college that caters for students between the ages of 16-25 with high functioning Autism (ASC) along with social and emotional needs (SEMH). This SEN college are looking for some enthusiastic candidates to support young people with their education and independent living skills.

Your role will ensure that students are fully prepared for adult life, through person-centred academic and vocational study programmes leading to independent living with employment or further study. By working together, you will increase resilience, confidence, self-esteem, emotional intelligence, and well-being.

As well as educational support, you will be promoting independence and supporting young people with some vital life skills including:

  • Planning and budgeting for daily tasks including shopping and making GP appointments
  • Cooking
  • Cleaning and laundry
  • Independent travel
  • Accessing community amenities safely

To be considered for this role, you must have experience supporting young people or adults in a similar setting.

Full time and part time applicants will be considered. Working hours are 08:30 - 15:30.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
