Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Lancaster

Full‑time | Primary Teacher | April 2026 Start
Location: Lancaster area
Salary: Competitive rates in line with ECT experience

Teaching Personnel is working with a primary school in the Lancaster area that is seeking a committed Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their team from April 2026. This full-time role will continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of progressing onto a permanent school-based contract for the right individual.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic and reflective ECT who can create engaging and inclusive learning experiences, demonstrate a positive approach to classroom practice, and contribute to a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be an ECT with recent primary teaching experience through placements or employment.
  • Be eager to develop professionally and contribute positively to all aspects of school life.
  • Be confident in planning and delivering creative, adaptable and child‑centred lessons.
  • Be able to uphold and support the school’s Christian ethos and values.
  • Show strong organisational skills, initiative and a passion for helping children achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
