ECT Classroom Cover – Gain Diverse Experience Across Tameside & High Peak

If you're a newly qualified teacher looking to broaden your experience before settling into a permanent role, this opportunity could be exactly what you need. We’re offering flexible, full-time cover teaching placements across a network of welcoming and well-supported secondary schools in the Tameside and High Peak areas.

Whether you’re still exploring which subject you want to specialise in or want to build confidence across different key stages and departments, this route allows you to develop your classroom skills while receiving regular guidance and feedback.

This role will offer you:

  • Regular teaching opportunities delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects, including English, Science, RE, PSHE, and more

  • First-hand experience of different school environments, leadership styles, and behaviour systems

  • Practical insight into pastoral care and whole-school approaches to learning

  • Structured feedback and personalised coaching from our experienced team

  • Observation and shadowing opportunities with excellent teachers and departments

  • A clear route into longer-term subject-specific roles as your confidence and preferences grow

This is a brilliant way to explore different teaching environments, develop classroom presence, and strengthen behaviour management while being fully supported by your own dedicated consultant. You’ll have the chance to find your fit and take the next step in your teaching journey with confidence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
