Early Years Teaching Assistant Specification

You should be a caring Early Years Teaching Assistant who has at least received a BA Honours degree or equivalent in your desired field and experience working with young children. You should have a dedication to your role and the charisma to build relationships quickly. As a Early Years Teaching Assistant you must have a passionate and exuberant attitude and a strong, and firm but fair attitude. We want to meet Early Years Teaching Assistants who can share another person's feelings and spend some time assisting with extracurricular activities.


About the Early Years Teaching Assistant Role

In this Early Years Teaching Assistant post you will be moving throughout the Early Years phase, adding much needed support on an ad hoc basis and you will be preparing lesson plans with the help of the teacher. You will have the responsibility of furthering your skills through teacher training and CPD opportunities and listening to the advice of a Senior Teacher who will mentor you for the first year. In general, the Early Years Teaching Assistant will be using the fantastic set of resources available and helping the team develop imaginative techniques that utilise the equipment available as much as possible. You will take charge of intervention groups and 1:1 sessions consistently aiming to aid student's development.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
