Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: NP26
Contract Type: Full Time / Part Time
Pay: Weekly pay
Teaching Personnel are working with Early Years settings and primary schools in the NP26 area who are seeking a caring, proactive and reliable Early Years Teaching Assistant. This role is suitable for candidates with experience in Early Years classrooms or private nursery environments, where strong childcare and developmental skills are essential.
About the Role
- Support children in Nursery and Reception settings
- Assist with play-based learning and early development activities
- Support children’s social, emotional and communication development
- Work 1:1 and in small groups where required
- Help with daily routines including snack time, toileting and transitions
- Support children during outdoor learning and free-flow play
- Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
- Work closely with teachers, practitioners and parents
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience working in Early Years or private nursery settings
- Strong understanding of EYFS framework and child development
- Ability to support early communication, language and literacy
- Confidence supporting children with ALN/SEN when required
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety and hygiene procedures
- Experience with personal care, toileting and nappy changing
- Patient, nurturing and emotionally aware approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Proactive and able to use initiative in a busy environment

- Willing to learn and attend CPD training
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
