Early Years Teaching Assistant

A lovely nursery based in Hitchin are expanding and in need of Early Years staff.

There are a variety of roles available from full time to bank staff.

The role will include:

• Encouraging learning and development, through play and teaching.
• Creating a secure environment, using imagination to help children to learn.
• Working with parents to support their children.
• Enabling children to build their literacy, language and numeracy skills.
• Monitoring progress and planning educational games.
• Putting together activities which will keep the children engaged throughout the day.
• Helping children get ready for the transition into a classroom environment.
• Helping children to become more independent when carrying out daily tasks.
• Creating the right balance between activities and down time

Ideally you will need at least 6 months experience in a nursery however training can be provided.

If you have a Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification this will be advantage however not essential. 

You will benefit from working in a Ofsted rated good nursery with an experienced and friendly management team. The nursery is close to the town centre with excellent local transport links.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
