A Primary School in Brighton are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to assist two pupils with Autism and Speech and Language Difficulties. This role is for an immediate start after February half term.
The school has a good reputation in the community and pride themselves on providing only the best education and pastoral care for their pupils; ensuring that the wellfare of their pupils is put first at all times. They were graded 'Good' in their last Ofsted inspection and always strive to improve wherever they can, with feedback from both pupils and parents.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to:
- Support children with Autism, empathising and understanding their thought processes to their best ability.
- Implement unique learning techniques to assist with their speech and language
- Think independently and be pro-active, whilst also working within a team
- Assist children with their classwork such as Mathematics and English
- Implement their knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum into their role
