Rate of Pay: From £125 to £232.56 per day

About the role:

At Teaching Personnel, we are pleased to be partnering with an inclusive and welcoming primary school in Birkenhead that is seeking to appoint a new Early Years Teacher. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone who is ready to embrace a fresh challenge and is passionate about making a positive, lasting impact on young children’s learning and development.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons for Nursery or Reception pupils, in line with both school expectations and the National Curriculum.
  • Create a warm, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports each child’s personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Provide constructive, accurate feedback to colleagues to support ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Build strong working relationships by liaising confidently and professionally with parents, carers, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, identify individual learning needs, and implement targeted strategies to help every child achieve their early learning goals.

What we would want from you:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
  • Experience teaching within the EYFS, with a strong understanding of early learning principles.
  • Effective communication and strong time‑management skills.
  • A clear and confident understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
