Early Years Educator – Nursery in Devon
Location: Devon 
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Bank (flexible hours available)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Are you passionate about working with young children and supporting their early development? We are currently seeking a dedicated Early Years Educator to join a friendly and well-established nursery team in Devon.

About the Role:
As an Early Years Educator, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years. You will work alongside experienced practitioners to plan and implement engaging activities that support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Your responsibilities will include observing and assessing children’s progress, supporting their emotional and physical needs, and liaising with parents and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering stimulating and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.

  • Observing and assessing children’s progress and planning next steps.

  • Providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting the nursery’s policies and procedures.

  • Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare, Education, or equivalent.

  • Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.

  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to early years education.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Willingness to work flexibly, including some Bank Holidays as required.

  • Ability to undergo a DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
