Bank Staff Teachers – ECTs & QTS Graduates Required

Start Date: September 2026
Pay Rate: £125 – £150 per day (dependent on experience and role)

Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a about to graduate with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) looking to build confidence, gain hands-on classroom experience, and explore a variety of school settings?

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Bank Staff Teachers to join our network of supportive primary schools across Liverpool, ready for the new academic year in September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your teaching skills while enjoying the flexibility to choose when and where you work.


Locations

We have a wide range of opportunities across Liverpool, including:

  • Speke
  • Wavertree
  • Garston
  • Kirkby
  • Tuebrook

Our partner schools are based in diverse and vibrant communities, offering rich and rewarding teaching experiences that will enhance your practice and broaden your perspective.


Year Groups

We are recruiting for roles across all primary phases:

  • Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Key Stage 1 (KS1)
  • Key Stage 2 (KS2)

Whether you already have a preferred key stage or are keen to gain experience across multiple year groups, we can support you in finding the right placements.


The Role

As a member of our bank staff, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
  • Confidently adapt to different classroom environments and school settings
  • Provide day-to-day, short-term, and potentially long-term cover
  • Build strong professional relationships with pupils, staff, and leadership teams
  • Gain valuable exposure to different teaching styles, behaviour strategies, and school cultures

This role is ideal for ECTs looking to complete induction experience or graduates seeking consistent classroom exposure before securing a permanent position.


✅ Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be an ECT or newly qualified teacher (applications strongly encouraged)
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
  • Have strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Show a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
