Drama Teacher – Secondary School | Full-Time | Northampton Area

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation through the power of performance and creativity? A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the Northampton area is seeking a dynamic Drama Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team.

Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Drama Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, foster creativity and self-expression, and contribute to the wider cultural life of the school through performances, extracurricular activities, and enrichment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and inspiring lessons in line with the curriculum

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing effective feedback and support

  • Lead or contribute to extracurricular drama clubs, productions, or events

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the performing arts provision

  • Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field

  • Experience teaching Drama at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)

  • A strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills

  • Passion for drama and a commitment to student development

  • Ability to inspire students of all abilities and backgrounds
