Drama Teacher – Secondary School | Full-Time | Northampton Area
Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation through the power of performance and creativity? A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the Northampton area is seeking a dynamic Drama Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team.
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Drama Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, foster creativity and self-expression, and contribute to the wider cultural life of the school through performances, extracurricular activities, and enrichment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative and inspiring lessons in line with the curriculum

Assess and monitor student progress, providing effective feedback and support

Lead or contribute to extracurricular drama clubs, productions, or events
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the performing arts provision

Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
What We’re Looking For:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field
-
Experience teaching Drama at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
-
A strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills
-
Passion for drama and a commitment to student development
-
Ability to inspire students of all abilities and backgrounds

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
