Job description

Are you a passionate and innovative Design Technology Teacher with a love for creativity and problem-solving? Teaching Personnel are working with one of our partner secondary schools to appoint a full-time Design Technology / Creative Technology Teacher, delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The school has a strong sense of community and values resilience and individuality. Behaviour can be challenging at times, but staff are well-supported with clear systems and a collaborative culture. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who sees challenge as rewarding and wants to inspire students to think creatively, develop practical skills, and achieve their potential.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality DT lessons in areas such as resistant materials, product design, graphics, and creative technologies.

  • Inspire curiosity and problem-solving through practical and project-based learning.

  • Differentiate lessons to support students of all abilities and backgrounds.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement in the classroom.

  • Work as part of a supportive and ambitious department.

We are looking for:

  • A qualified DT Teacher (QTS or equivalent) or an ECT with strong subject knowledge.

  • Someone creative, adaptable, and resilient who thrives in a diverse school environment.

  • A teacher with a passion for making DT engaging and relevant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
