Design & Technology Teacher (Woodwork & Resistant Materials) – Secondary School in Farnborough – January 2026 Start

Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming secondary school in Farnborough who are seeking a talented Design and Technology Teacher to join them from January 2026. This opportunity is available on a full-time or part-time basis, making it ideal for both experienced DT specialists and early career teachers looking for flexibility.

The school is searching for a teacher with strong subject knowledge in Woodwork, Resistant Materials, and practical DT who can deliver engaging and creative lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will play a key role in inspiring students, developing their practical skills, and supporting high-quality outcomes in a well-equipped workshop environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Woodwork and Resistant Materials across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality practical and theory lessons
  • Maintain excellent behaviour management and promote a safe working environment
  • Support wider school life, including tutor responsibilities and duties (if full-time)
  • Encourage creativity, independence, and technical skill development in students

About You:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong subject expertise in Design & Technology, particularly Woodwork and Resistant Materials
  • Confident classroom management and the ability to deliver hands-on learning
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress
  • Experience teaching KS3/KS4 is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate
