Design Technology Technician needed ASAP

A school situated in Cardiff is in need of a DT Technician to start with them ASAP The candidate will have strong Design and Technology knowledge to provide technical support to teachers and staff in a successful and developing secondary school. The position is full time Monday-Friday term time only. The successful candidate will work alongside the Head of Department and will be required to carry out the following duties: Supporting students and teachers in practical lessons Preparing materials for lessons Working in conjunction with teaching staff to develop new projects Maintenance of the school workshop and equipment

To be considered for this position of Technology Technician, you must:

Have possession of appropriate health and safety certificates as well as the required experience of using the relevant equipment.

The school are looking for an individual that can operate and be responsible for the general maintenance of the equipment in the Technology department, Can assist with the preparation, distribution and storage of resources and materials. Assist with the upkeep of equipment records, within the workshops, Inform the Faculty Team Leader of any Health and Safety implications as they arise and maintain a high standard of tidiness within the workshops and preparation areas.
