Credit Controller - Welwyn Garden City

Teaching Personnel, the UK’s largest Education Recruitment Agency, are seeking an experienced, full-time and permanent Credit Controller, to join our expanding Finance department based in Welwyn Garden City.

If you have experience in Credit Control and knowledge of basic accounting and reconciliation principles, are a motivated individual, and want to join an ambitious, fast-paced and friendly team then this could be the right opportunity for you!

The primary responsibility of the Credit Controller will be to collect Teaching Personnel’s outstanding debt and maintain Sales Ledger accounts through the active management of inbound and outbound enquiries, as well as to ensure accurate allocation for remittances.

The role will involve making outbound calls to create collection promises and ensuring remittance of debt in accordance with specified processes and procedures.

The role will also require responding effectively to a range of inbound business and school enquiries and convert them to collection of debt.

Additionally, the Credit Controller will need to meet agreed individual collection and Sales Ledger targets.

Therefore, the ideal candidate must:

  • Have prior experience in a Credit Control position
  • Exhibit an excellent telephone manner
  • Demonstrate great attention to detail
  • Have exceptional time management and problem solving skills.
  • Be computer literate, including good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Along with a competitive salary, the successful candidate can expect:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
