Cover Supervisor - Stockport

A large, mixed secondary school in Stockport are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to start with the school from September, on a flexible day to day basis.

Teaching Personnel are the preferred supplier of Cover Supervisors to this particular secondary school in Stockport. This means that the school come to us first for all their short term staffing requirements and so we can keep you as busy as your availability allows!

  • Covering lessons in the event of short term teacher absence (e.g. sickness, training)
  • Delivering pre-set work to a class of students and ensuring they remain on task
  • Gaining invaluable classroom and behaviour management experience
  • Flexible, day to day cover at short notice (usually a call on the morning of)
  • Earn up to £1400 per month!
  • Great experience for graduates looking at getting into secondary teaching!

The ideal applicant for the role of Cover Supervisor will:

  • Hold a degree or be in the process of completing a degree
  • Be interested in getting into teaching / thinking of completing a PGCE
  • Have some experience working with young people in a similar capacity
  • Be confident managing a class of pupils

The successful Cover Supervisor will join a friendly and well established secondary school in Stockport who are very supportive of graduates and those interested in getting into teaching. You will report to the school's cover manager who will brief you on your timetable and responsibilities for the day!

Accessible via car or public transport, the secondary school located in Stockport has a secure car park, is close to a train station, a Metrolink service and local bus routes from in and around South Manchester and parts of Cheshire East.
