Cover Supervisor - South Manchester

Secondary School

Do you have aspirations of becoming a secondary school teacher but don't know where to start?

Are you looking to gain flexible supply work as a cover supervisor in a secondary school near you?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of secondary schools in south and central Manchester (Stockport, Tameside and Trafford) who require a number of cover supervisors to join their support teams as soon as possible and for the new academic year also (Sept).

As a cover supervisor, you will be required to cover lessons on a flexible day to day basis, in the absence of the class teacher due to short term sickness and internal training days. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in local secondary schools, taking on full classes as an unqualified teacher!

Responsibilities of a cover supervisor will include:

  • Day to day lesson cover at secondary schools in south and central Manchester - you will be briefed by the school every morning
  • Deliver pre-set work to a class of pupils in the event of short term teacher absence
  • Covering a range of KS3 and KS4 lessons so some knowledge of the core subjects is desirable
  • Ensuring pupils remain on task to complete the pre set work

Successful applicants to our cover supervisor opportunity will join our some of our most dedicated secondary schools across south and central Manchester, who offer fantastic support to incoming support staff. As a result, the role of cover supervisor would be best suited to those who are considering a career as a secondary school teacher.

Overview of cover supervisor role:

  • Flexible cover supervisor work - work around your own availability!
  • Earn up to £300 per week, paid on a weekly basis
  • Fantastic opportunity to gain experience working in a secondary school prior to starting a PGCE

To apply for the role of cover supervisor, please submit an updated CV below for immediate consideration!
