Location: Newport (NP18)
Daily Rate: £100 – £110 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: 19th May 2025
Contract: Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available


‍ About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Newport. In this rewarding role, you’ll take the lead in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment for pupils aged 11–16.

Whether you're an aspiring teacher, a recent graduate, or someone with a background in youth work or care, this role is a fantastic stepping stone into the world of education.

You’ll be stepping into the classroom, delivering pre-prepared lessons and confidently managing student behaviour – all while supporting young minds in reaching their full potential.


✨ What You’ll Be Doing

• Taking the lead in classrooms during teacher absences
• Delivering engaging, pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
• Supporting pupils of mixed abilities, adapting tasks to suit their individual needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
• Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leaders to create an inclusive learning atmosphere
• Ensuring the safety, welfare, and development of all students by following school safeguarding policies

We welcome candidates from diverse professional backgrounds. You don’t need teaching qualifications, but experience in education, support work, or youth engagement is a bonus.
