About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school in Kingston upon Thames. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged in pre-set work and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes across various subjects, ensuring students complete assigned work.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Provide brief feedback to teachers on lesson progress and student engagement.

  • Support students with their learning, offering guidance where necessary.

  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role within a secondary school.

  • Confident managing classroom behaviour and delivering pre-prepared lessons.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups.

  • A proactive and resilient attitude, with a passion for supporting education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
