**Cover Supervisor - Oldham - Flexible Working Hours**

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a number of schools within Oldham who require additional support in the form of Cover Supervisors to cover lessons when planned and unplanned absences arise.

While working as a Cover Supervisor you will have the opportunity to gain front of the class experience as you take control of the class in the absence of the regular class teacher. Taking on the role of the teacher for the day you will deliver a pre set lesson plan without the added stress and responsibility of planning and marking. This is an excellent way to gain further experience in a secondary school environment and give you a real taste of what a career in teaching is like before you consider enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme.

  • Full time position working as a Cover Supervisor, covering classes when planned and unplanned absences arise.
  • Get paid up to £70 a day, dependent on your experience and responsibilities on the day.
  • Opportunity to work in a variety of schools around Oldham, on a flexible basis around your current schedule.
  • Access to further training and development through Teaching Personnel's CPD courses.

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor is preferred however we would welcome applications from those with previous experience in a secondary school such as Teaching Assistants or those who have worked in a similar capacity supporting young people. Due to the nature of the role of a Cover Supervisor, strong behaviour management is essential so previous experience in a role supporting young people who show signs of challenging behaviour would be an advantage. We would also like to hear from any recent graduates who are seeking further experience in a secondary school setting before they consider a career in education.

Apply to this advert with an up to date copy of your CV to request a call back, or call us at the Manchester North Secondary branch of Teaching Personnel for further information.
