Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit recent graduates in the Stockport area to join our Future Teachers programme. We are currently looking for graduates for our November and January cohorts.

Future Teachers is a graduate programme designed to help graduates who are considering the teaching profession gain some vital classroom experience and an insight into the workings of school life. From one term to a full academic year, we arrange placements at our partner schools which will not only greatly enhance any teaching application, but also allow you to truly assess if this is the career for you.

Your roles and responsibilities will differ depending on the school you are placed at, but from Cover Supervisor to Learning Support and intervention work, you be would be taking on a variety of very rewarding roles in some of the most well established schools in Stockport, including several rated “Good” and “Outstanding” by Ofsted. With full or part time hours available, as well as the possible future opportunity of a permanent school-based contract, there really has never been a better time to become a Future Teacher.

Previous experience supporting within a school or working with children would be a bonus; however, it is not a necessity provided you have a passion for education and working with young people. Similar transferable experience in which you have supported young people, such as those who have worked as a Teaching Assistant or who have run Youth Clubs/ worked in Youth Work would also be advantageous, but above all, you should be confident, resilient and adaptable as every day will be different.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
