Due to an increase in demand and an ever growing expansion, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a large and successful secondary school located on the outskirts of Wigan.

This role will be well suited for candidates who are looking to start their career in teaching, experienced teachers looking for flexibility, Teaching Assistants/Higher Level Teaching Assistants’ or gap year students from universities.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be providing lesson cover in the absence of the main classroom teacher and providing stability and continuity for students within the school. Lessons will be clearly planned by experienced staff members within the school and it will be your responsibility to ensure that students complete the work provided.

Opportunities will be varied and you could be asked to cover a range of subjects including; Maths, English Science, Humanities, MFL, and PE across the full age range. We are interested in hearing from all candidates, no matter what your experience level. (Bespoke training will be offered to each candidate, free of charge.)

Our client school is large in comparison to other secondary schools in the area and caters for just over 950 students. The majority of students that attend our client school come from a white British background. The school is located in Orrell, ideally located for those travelling from areas outside of Wigan; St Helens, Ormskirk, Chorley, Preston and Bolton.
