Cover supervisors - Bolton and Bury

Would you like to gain experience working as a cover supervisor within a secondary school setting, covering lessons, or supporting students in a Teaching Assistant capacity?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside several schools in Bolton and Bury, aiding them in recruiting new cover supervisors to join their team of welcoming staff from October 2019.

• Several permanent part-time (3 days per week) cover supervisor roles starting after the October half term break 2019.
• Supporting the learning of pupils across all subject areas.
• Delivering pre-set work and leading classing in the absence of teachers .
• Earn up to £300 per week depending on experience.
• Gain invaluable experience towards teaching training applications.
• Must have transferable experience working within secondary education.

A cover supervisor position is the ideal opportunity to gain the necessary skills and experience for those considering applying to teacher training courses (PGCE, Schools Direct and Teach First) to further your experience working within secondary schools.

Applicants will ideally have previous experience working within education and will have their own transport to travel to school at short notice, however this is not essential.

Within this role the successful applicants will hold a number of responsibilities including;

• Covering pre-set lessons in the absence of teachers - Pre-set work provided
• Manage behaviour and ensure tasks are completed
• Covering a range of classes in different subject areas with a range of pupils varying in ages (11-16) and ability.

Our client schools are located across Bolton and Bury with access from surrounding areas such as Wigan, Salford and central Manchester via the M61 and A58. For non-drivers, the school can be accessed by a number of public transport links from surrounding areas such as Wigan and Salford.
