Cover Supervisor

Join the support department of a secondary school in the area of Bury, Bolton or Salford, providing pre-set lesson cover for teachers and supporting pupils aged 11-16.

The main responsibility of working as a cover supervisor will involve covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers – all resources will be set for every lesson. The successful candidate will be expected to manage behaviour in line with the school policies and ensure all tasks are completed. It will also be important to monitor pupil progress in the absence of the teacher to feed this back on their return.  Applicants will ideally have previous experience within a school setting but transferrable skills to support children and young people will also be acceptable.

Our partner schools are located across Manchester in Bury, Salford or Bolton and is easily accessible via the M62 and A56 from surrounding areas. The schools can also be accessed via public transport from neighbouring areas including Prestwich, Swinton and Rochdale.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
