Join the support department of an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school.
- Full-time Cover Supervisor.
- Required for an immediate start on an ongoing basis.
- Supporting pupils aged 11-16.
- Earn between GBP300 and GBP320 per week, depending on roles and responsibilities.
- Secondary school based in Salford.
Our client secondary school is based in Salford and has around 800 pupils on roll including pupils with SEN and learning difficulties.
Due to this being the busiest time of year for supply work, our client school are hoping to recruit additional members of support staff. At this time of year many teachers will be completing training courses, attending important meetings/events or may be off sick. It is important that the school always has cover supervisors within school to ensure all students have the support they need.
The role of a cover supervisor will involve the following roles and responsibilities:
- Covering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
- Managing behaviour and ensuring all tasks are completed by pupils.
- Monitor pupil’s behaviour/progress and report any information that requires further action.
To be considered for this position you do not need a teaching qualification as all work will be pre-set and must be distributed to the pupils. It will be important however that you have previous experience of supporting children and young people. Experience is preferred within the education is sector but is not essential as all skills will be transferrable.
This secondary school is based in Salford and is easily accessible via the M60 and A580 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Prestwich. The academy can also be accessed via public transport links from neighbouring areas such as central Manchester, Eccles and Trafford.
